Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?

I am currently based out of Wichita, KS. For in-person events, you can find me at many local events in Wichita as well as the surrounding area, including KC, Tulsa, and Denver. Check out my Upcoming Events page to see where I will be next!

Do you make everything by hand?

Yes, everything in my shop is handmade by yours truly. I put my heart and soul into every painting, chainmail piece, oddity display, and leather piece that I do. Any products not created by me would be explicitly labelled as such.

Do you offer returns or refunds?

My general policy is no refunds*. Many of my products are fragile and while I do my best to package them safely, I am not personally responsibly for any damages done during shipping. That being said, please feel free to contact me to find out if your situation qualifies for full or partial refund. Refunds and returns will NOT be accepted if you simply changed your mind about your product.

In most instances, the best I can provide is advice on how to repair damaged items and/or a discount on a future purchase if applicable.

**Refunds may be contingent on the return of the damaged or unwanted product at the buyer’s expense.

Do you have a physical shop or location?

Sadly, I do not have a brick and mortar store. In addition to my online shop, I also attend events regularly in Wichita/Kansas area, even extending into Oklahoma, Missouri, and sometimes Denver. View my Upcoming Events page to see where I will be next!

How did you get started/how long have you been collecting bones?

I started collecting bones when I was around 16 by collecting bones I found outside as well as collecting local roadkill and processing it in my parents’ backyard. For more information on beginning your vulture culture journey, consider subscribing to my Patreon for as little as $1 a month.

Where do you source your bones?

I collect almost all of my bones myself/acquire them from local farmers. Occasionally, I will purchase or trade for bones from trusted sources, but my bones are always obtained as ethically and as sustainably as possible.

Where do you source your butterflies?

I never take live butterflies from the wild. If an already-dead butterfly is found or brought to me, I will absolutely use it, but most of my butterflies are purchased from a trusted butterfly farm that aids in breeding insects to support butterfly populations.

Is your jewelry hypoallergenic?

I do my best to make my jewelry hypoallergenic. My earrings are always made with nickel-free earring attachments, but reach out to me about sterling silver options for an extra fee. Anything that is sterling silver will be labelled as such.

My chainmail jewelry is made from anodized aluminum, which is hypoallergenic. I do also wash all of my chainmail before selling, but it is possible that residual grease from production may remain on them. Those with very sensitive skin should use their best judgement when purchasing my jewelry.
